Great love stories sometimes can’t be quantified in the simple question of “When did it all start?” Because truly, the unexpected turn-arounds of life and cherry pickings of one's memory cannot possibly pull together all the workings of when this love began to blossom. But for simplicity's sake: It all started in 2012 at Alice E Grady Elementary where Jeseny and Corey attended school. The students were all playing basketball during gym when one of the boys accidentally threw a basketball at the face of our beloved bride, Jeseny. Humiliating. But Jeseny prevailed and tried to not make a big deal of it. Little did she know the scene caught the attention of our dashing groom, Corey. He thought she was cute. Duh. Later that day his little eleven year old mind came up with the perfect opening line to say to her when they inevitibly crossed paths in the hallway. “Aren’t you that girl that got hit in the face?” he laughed. Smooth Corey. Very smooth.  “I was gonna say something nice about your shirt but now I’m not anymore.” Jeseny sassed, and turned her heel to leave this kid in the dust. Yikes.  Quite the meet, huh? From there on it was continuous looks across the room and silent thoughts about each other. They were both involved in sports and saw each other often during practice times. Eventually Jeseny developed a crush on the cute boy with the rosey cheeks. To Corey, she was always the pretty girl with the purple sweater, and after word 'somehow' got around that she liked him, he just couldn't believe she liked him too. He just had to get to know her. What started out as simple texting and crushes on each other grew into a sweet friendship that continued even when Jeseny moved to another school for high-school. They eventually expressed their feelings for each other and even shared their first kiss together. But trying to maintain a relationship when they hardly saw each other was difficult so they agreed that they would put the romantics aside and just remain best friends.  As they continued to get older, keeping in touch got more difficult with the distance, and they eventually lived their lives separately but would often spontaneously reconnect. They noted that during these meets, the chemistry never subsided; it was like time stood in place. Each of them held a special place in the other one's heart that they clearly never got over. Throughout college, Corey could never find the right moment to tell Jeseny about his feelings that never left, not knowing if she felt the same. However, when they both finished their studies and Jeseny finally returned home from university, Corey knew that this might be his only chance to get the girl he never stopped being in love with. Little did he know, Jesenys heart never strayed from him either.  This time, he was actually smooth with it. After agreeing to meet up over the phone, he left to pick her up in his brand new sports car, making sure the car revved a little extra when he arrived at the front door. They went for a drive and talked like time and space was never an issue before. From then on they knew they couldn’t let go of each other. What they had was sincere, tender, and true, and they wouldn’t trade it for anything. Exactly a year after they confessed their love for each other, Corey happily proposed and of course Jeseny said yes!
