What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be a formal affair, and we’d love for you to dress to celebrate! Think timeless and elegant—suits, ties, gowns, and dresses worthy of a night of joy. The reception will largely take place in the grass so women may want to consider flats! Military members in the wedding party and sword arch will be wearing Mess Dress Blues. Guests are invited to wear Service Dress Blues or service equivalent.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The church ceremony will start promptly at 1:00 pm, so please arrive by 12:45 to be seated by 1:00.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! For the ceremony, there is a parking lot just south of St. Mary’s church with plenty of room to accommodate. For the reception, there will be limited parking on the property and it will be a bit spread out. We advise carpooling or Ubers/taxis if you can!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will not be transportation to the ceremony or to the reception however there will be a shuttle taking people back to the Visalia Marriott at the conclusion of the night. If you’d like to uber/taxi from the Marriott and then take the shuttle back, or leave your car at the Hutcheson property overnight after the reception, you’re more than welcome to!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at the Visalia Marriott! If that block fills up, please reach out to Corey or Jacque and we can talk to the hotel about adding more rooms. There are a number of other hotels in the area including the Comfort Suites just a block away from the Marriott as well as The Darling hotel just up the street from the Marriott.
