Lenny Boy Brewing Co.

Great place to hang during the day with a larger crowd. They also have great wine and food options.

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery

Great brewery in the heart of Plaza Midwood-one of our favorite areas of Charlotte. This brewery is within walking distance of several great dining, shopping, and bar options.

Resident Culture Brewing Company

Located about 20 minutes away from center city Charlotte, the gardens are a great place to spend a few hours. We love this setting so much that we took our engagement photos here :)

UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens

The Whitewater Center has tons to offer for outdoor activities, including kayaking, zip lining, walking/running trails, and more. Allow about 30 minutes each way for travel time, and there is also a small fee for parking.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

This is our favorite park in Charlotte. There is a large walking area around a central lake, playground, and large picnic/seating areas. A large greenway trail also runs alongside the park, which you can follow across the city.

Freedom Park

Great park located right in the middle of downtown. Although not quite as large as Freedom Park, this park offers a nice setting and views of downtown, while also being convenient enough to several other downtown attractions.

Romare Bearden Park

This is the original branch of the Mint Museum; you can also visit their downtown branch as well. They offer different art exhibits year round.

Mint Museum Randolph

Beautiful modern art museum right in the middle of downtown.
