Corey and Elisha met (virtually) on a dating app called Hinge on Elisha’s birthday - April 9, 2022 (he never mentioned this because he wanted the focus to be on them getting to know each other instead of just on him - what a guy!). There was an instant connection between the two that was so undeniable that Corey deleted the app after only being on it for 24 hours! Elisha is a police officer and Corey is a physician who was in residency training at the time so both of their schedules were extremely busy. Because of this, they spent the first few weeks after exchanging numbers getting to know each other via phone calls and text. They had their first in person date about a month later at one of their favorite Mexican restaurants called Tin Lizzy’s. The date was a success so much so that Elisha wasted no time communicating his intentions with Corey which included dating exclusively. The rest is history! They got engaged two years to the date after making it official in May 2024 and got married a year after that on May 30, 2025.
