Corey and Chelsie met the modern way.... on an online dating site called Hinge. Corey made the first move by starting a conversation with Chelsie ( & yes, it was a dad joke). The conversation flowed naturally so Corey asked Chelsie out on a first date. By this time the world was on full lockdown and everything was closed so Corey invited Chelsie over to his house. They ordered some takeout pizza, had Pacificos and shared lots of laughs. They had so much in common from being home owners, loving country music, enjoying working out and most importantly, early bedtimes. From this night forward, they knew they had found something special.

Corey began planning the proposal around May of 2021. He sat down with Chris and Michelle to ask their permission to marry their daughter and after some sarcastic jokes and a few happy tears, permission was granted. He then asked Chelsies best friend Brittany exactly what type of ring she wanted. Brittany was ready for this moment and gave Corey all the details. He also assigned her the tricky task of getting her nails done right before the big day. Corey decided on a family barbecue proposal because he knew how much family meant to both of them. He reached out to Michelle to help plan all the party details and to gather all of the family. They knew Chelsie wouldn't suspect anything because they always have family bbq's during the summer. Corey was struggling to keep it a secret so by the time the bbq came around everyone knew except for Chelsie. July 18, 2021.... Corey was nervous and the family had all arrived and they were patiently awaiting the big moment. Everyone was avoiding talking to Chelsie in fear they would say something or give it away. Dinner was just about ready so everyone went outside to "grab their seat" and gather around. Corey grabbed Chelsies hand and started telling her how much he loved her. He dropped to a knee and popped the question. From there the bbq turned into an engagement party! It was the best day.

As we were booking our wedding we noticed all our BIG dates are on the 18th. The First Date = 4.18.2020 The YES day = 7.18.2021 The Wedding Day = 9.18.2022
