The Utah Shakespeare Festival is a Tony Award-winning, professional theatre located on the campus of Southern Utah University that presents Shakespeare and plays from other playwrights every June through October in three theatres at the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts. Also offered at 7:10 pm Tuesday through Saturday is "The Green Show", a short play offered for free on the lawn outside the theatre.

Duck Creek Village is a sweet little tourist town. ATV riding, fishing, mountain biking, lava caves, waterfalls and more are all close by. The Aspen trees make visiting here worth while.

Sand Hollow is a reservoir just north of St. George and about 50 minutes from Cedar City. It offers opportunities for paddle boarding, kayaking, ATV riding, swimming and cliff jumping.

A great place to take kids! They have a slide, lazy river, lap pool, and hot tub.

Kanarra Falls

This is a really pretty hike up a narrow slot canyon to several waterfalls. Round trip distance is approximately 3 - 4 miles, depending on how many falls you visit. Canyoneering shoes and socks are recommended (and can be rented from Cedar Sports.) Be aware that there is a $10 fee per person to hike the falls.

This red rock canyon offers plenty of day hikes, rock climbing, petrified sand dunes and lava tubes for exploring. The park also has lots of campsites.
