What is the dress code?

Answer

Natural/neutral/non-bright colors: Men - casual suits Women - flowy, outdoorsy, summer dresses (long or short) **Keep in mind, all wedding events will be taking place outside, so dress accordingly. All areas are paved and should allow for any kind of shoe.

Will food and drinks be served?

Answer

Rehearsal: Yes. We will be serving a three course meal, as well as a full open bar (turned to cash bar after certain amount) and s'mores bar around the fire pits. Reception: Yes. We will be serving heavy appetizers and hors d'oeuvres, as well as a full open bar (turned to cash bar after certain amount) and wedding cake. **If you have ANY dietary restrictions, please let us know in the appropriate section when you RSVP.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes, we will have a DJ and dance floor at the reception.

Do I have to RSVP?

Answer

Yes, an RSVP is absolutely REQUIRED for everyone. It is essential in planning for the ceremony seating and reception meals. In order for us to be able to accommodate a meal for you, you must RSVP by May 1, 2018.

If I don't RSVP, can I still come to the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

No, an RSVP is required. Due to limitations for the reception meals, accommodations will not be made for those who do not RSVP. This will be strictly enforced.

How many guests can I bring?

Answer

Although we would love to accommodate everyone who wants to come and celebrate our big day with us, unfortunately due to financial restraints, we can only accommodate those people noted on the invitation.

What should I do in the event I/we can't make it?

Answer

Let us know as soon as you know your plans have changed and/or you are not able to attend so that we can make necessary changes, as everyone is accounted for in catering.

Answer

The average weather in Lake Lure, NC for June is a high of 87 F and a low of 63 F.

Do I /we have to stay at the places recommended?

Answer

No, if you wish to stay some place else, please feel free to do so. Those recommended are near by the resort and is just a convenience should you need to be close to the venue.

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes, plenty of FREE parking is available at the venue for the rehearsal and ceremony/reception. Upon entering the resort, you will be directed to appropriate parking areas. If you are already staying in the resort, parking is available at the church across the street from the venue. If you are staying in the resort, you may also be walking distance from the venue.

Will there be transportation to/from the venue?

Answer

No, but if you are staying in the resort, many homes are within walking distance or a very short drive. We want everyone to travel safe, so Uber and taxis are a great option as well.

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Yes, absolutely! All that we ask is to please use our hashtag #AlsWearinDoiron so we can see all the pictures, too!
