We love Fabbioli cellars! It's about 20 minutes from the hotels. In Leesburg, you are nearly in the heart of Virginia wine country and have many options of wineries to pick from.
Stone Tower Winery
Stone Tower Winery is another popular winery that has absolutely stunning views and is worth a visit.
Skyline Drive
Coming down on Friday? Take a quick day trip out to skyline drive on Saturday for a scenic day out in the Shenandoah Valley. Surely in for a great view as the leaves begin to change in September.
Leesburg Premium Outlets
Practically around the corner from the hotels is great shopping at the Leesburg Outlets.
Historic Downtown Leesburg
Downtown Leesburg is a great visit to either stop and get a bite to eat, pop in an antique shop, or a small boutique. The address listed here is for Lightfoot Restaurant, which was renovated into a restaurant from an old bank, but will take you to the heart of downtown.
Sugarloaf Mountain
If you feel like going out a bit further for a hike check out Sugarloaf Mountain. It's a local favorite and It can be a great half-day activity. Hiking from bottom to top is about an hour and if you feel like getting to the top just for a view you can drive most of the way up as well.
Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard
One of our favorite dates was a hike at Sugarloaf and then lunch at Sugarloaf winery just down the street. They offer some snacks but if you want to save some money we recommend picking up a lunch on your way in or eating before hand.
Great Falls
Another local favorite and great option to get outside and take in some nature and see the rapids. The canal (Maryland) side is very popular amongst our area for a nice walk or run along the water.
Downtown Frederick
Another great downtown option that isn't as big as going to DC. Frederick is bigger than downtown Leesburg with more shopping and dining options. September is still Crab season for us so make sure to stop at Avery's for some crabs if you aren't venturing down to the water at Annapolis.
Tysons Corner Center
Tysons is a hub of shopping with 2 malls and many more stand alone stores. If you are looking to do some shopping, you will find just about every store at Tysons.
Washington DC
This probably goes without saying but don't forget you are just an hour from DC!
Topgolf
Topgolf is another super fun attraction in Leesburg just about 20 minutes from the hotels.
