Corey Mack is nothing if not charming. Upon a fun, end-of-semester Chi ALpha Christmas party, he followed his current bride-to-be on Instagram nearly one hour after parting ways. Likely with the confidence bestowed on her by a knowing Lord, she took that as confirmation. He liked her. Ideally, his Instagram bio invited all to ask him for coffee, so she did. His reply? "I will surely get coffee with you!" That evening of chatting was a rich and genuine connection unlike any other. Mr. Mack continued his subtle ways and asked Cheyenne to coffee every week for the remaining 6 months of their friendship. Without any spoken interest, neither one could be sure of the other's heart. I'll say Cheyenne wasn't much sure of anything at all! And after a bit more waiting, as Cheyenne was intending to head to New Mexico for the upcoming summer, they agreed to begin dating one beautiful Summer day in her backyard. Corey's glee could be heard for miles around as he jumped for joy in the driveway, having just asked and gained permission from The Bechtel's. That joy still resonates in Cheyenne's heart today, now looking forward to more and more of this unexpected and oh so fulfilling life...together.
