It all started with a swipe! Yes, the truth is, we are a successful love story of meeting on tinder! As you can guess, curiosity grew and we decided to go on our first date at Yard House in Concord where we spent the day getting to know each other and then drove to Twin Peaks in SF to finish off the night. Leaving that night, we both had no idea what was to come. To be honest, we both had no idea if we would make it or not being that I (Ryan) was in Castro Valley and Brittany was in Fairfield at the time. The distance became a lot to handle and we both almost called it quits. We talked for 5-6 months, trying to find a way to make it work and so we decided it was time to meet my parents and to take a trip to Las Vegas for Brittany's birthday. As we spent 3 days in Vegas, it was clear that we met for a reason and we were suppose to be together. We sat at dinner, laughing, talking, bonding and I knew it was time; I looked at Brittany and said "I love you". With tears in her eyes, she looked back at me and said "I love you too". That was it for us. Brittany decided it was time for me to meet her parents where we went back to Yard House and had lunch with her parents and little sister Kawehi. We waited a little longer, and finally it was time to move in together. We packed up Brittany's things and moved her in to the house In Castro Valley. We continued to bond, grow, and love each other more and more every day. It didn't make Brittany the happiest, but I never officially asked her to be my girlfriend and so we never really had an official "date" to tell people when we started dating but little did she know, I was ready to make her my wife. We had planned another trip to Vegas and I told Brittany that I needed to run to the mall and try to find one more outfit when in reality, it was time to pick out the ring. Almost every day, Brittany would send me Tik Toks about rings and styles, trying to hint that "okay! its time.. I'm ready". Good thing is, I was ready too. That day I was "looking for an outfit" I bought the ring! Mothers day was approaching and I was talking to Monica (Brittany's mom) and my mom (Monika as well) and we all decided Mother's Day would be the perfect day. A couple weeks later we went to a wedding and it came time for the bride to toss her bouquet. Who do you think caught it? BRITTANY!!!! Extremely excited to have caught it, she had no idea what was coming next weekend. Mother's Day had come and I managed to get all of our family together at V. Sattui Winery in Napa. Shaking for the hour and a half drive to Napa, I knew our lives were about to change forever. As we arrive, all our family were sitting there waiting at the fountain in front of the winery. Picture time! My mom hands me the ring as I am shaking, getting ready to take pictures with Brittany. Brittany turns to looks at me, with tears in my eyes, I drop down to one knee and ask "Will you marry me?" Shocked and in complete disbelief, Brittany looks at me and says "YES"! All our determination, love, growth, and willingness to fight for each other finally paid off. We made it!
