Cordell's POV: Grace and I connected through an online dating app. Our first date was on December 30, 2023, followed by our second date on New Year’s Day. I felt an instant connection, while Grace took a little longer. We both needed time to understand more about each other—how we communicate, how we show love, and how we navigate relationships. Over the next year, we spent as much time together as possible, exploring Los Angeles, trying new foods, and learning more about one another. We especially enjoyed visiting theme parks and tackling escape rooms together. Through pre-marital counseling with the Austins, we had the opportunity to dive deeper into what a Christ-centered marriage looks like and how we can build a strong foundation for our future. We are still learning more about each other every day—like why Grace enjoys Korean dramas while I prefer anime, why I’m more particular about food while she enjoys almost everything, or my recent obsession with golf. We’re excited to begin this next chapter of our lives together and are so thankful you’re here to celebrate with us! Grace's POV: I loved his smile at first sight but our first date lasted for only 2 hours so I thought we wouldn't work out. Grace's POV: Cordell suggested to go to the Getty Center on a Saturday afternoon with his friends (Chris and Elaine) since Chris has never been to the Getty before. I agreed and quickly learned Chris and Elaine were not big fans of museums, so I suggested to leave early. But Cordell had other plans. He said he wanted to explore more and took me to the outside garden while his friends were "on the phone." Cordell started his sweet speech but there were too many people around with no space for him to kneel. So he spoke one sentence per minute waiting for people to leave. He finally pulled me few steps to the back, kneeled, and popped the question <3 Cordell POV: I proposed to Grace at the Getty Center, an iconic museum that overlooks much of West LA. It was the perfect place to mark our new beginning.
