Lauren and Dan met in their freshman year of college! They were actually in English 4 with our teacher Winnie who taught them to make flappers. Lauren played soccer and Dan played baseball. They were friends for the first two years of college and it wasn't until the second year when Lauren and Dan became official. They have been together ever since!

Lauren and Dan along with Lauren's best friend Anne went down to Virginia to visit their long time friend Nick. Nick just moved to Virginia from California, so the three were going to visit him for the weekend. Everyone went to Virginia Beach on the 4th of July. They went to the beach for the day and planned on going out to dinner after that. Anne kept mentioning that she wanted to get pictures on the beach at sunset because she wanted a new instagram picture! Despite some traffic we all made it in time to catch the sunset. Lauren and Anne took a picture first and then Lauren and Dan were taking a picture. This was when Dan got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry her! Lauren's sister also popped out and surprised her by being there as well! It was such a special surprise and Lauren was completely shocked!
