How We Met

How did we meet? Well I think we owe that to a rather persistent grandmother (Justin's to be specific). Mawmaw Loretta had just had rotator cuff surgery and needed a physical therapist. Luckily, she didn't want to travel far and headed to Pearisburg, which just so happened to be where Amy had been working for about a year. Mawmaw, being ever so inquisitive, learned that Amy wasn't in a relationship at the time and didn't know much about the area. So like grandmothers do, she began questioning and bragging about a certain grandson, and well when she left therapy one day, she left with a phone number on the back of a business card. Cue the matchmaking. Justin got a phone call from Mawmaw saying she had met a pretty young therapist and had her phone number for him. Some things just tend to be a little genetic, and curiosity must be one of them. That being said, Justin's curiosity got the better of him one day, and so the first text was sent. And just like that it all began. We went on our last first date a couple of weeks later, neither one knowing that it would lead to a proposal a little more than a year and a half later. But fast forward to February 15, 2020, exactly one year and eight months to the day from our first date. Little did she know that he had a ring in his pocket when they left to go check on the horses. Little did she know that the "lets check on the road above the fence to make sure it hasn't washed out" was really just a ploy to get her to the perfect spot. Little did she know that when she turned around he would be down on one knee, waiting and hoping for her to say yes. And there you have it folks, the beginning to our story! Now where will our next adventure lead us? ....

For all the days along the way
