Our story began long before we realized it. We grew up together—attending the same elementary and junior high schools, sharing recess, lunch, and even participating in the same school plays. Still, we never imagined that years later, we would be each other’s forever. It wasn’t until high school that things truly began to unfold. During Kyla’s junior year and Corbin’s sophomore year, we grew closer and often insisted we were “just friends.” Kyla, in particular, was stubborn about not dating a “short wrestler”—which happened to describe Corbin perfectly. But after going to prom together in 2023, Kyla finally confessed her feelings, and everything started to fall into place. That summer, we continued our friendship while also building something more. Kyla cheered Corbin on at a wrestling tournament, and Corbin returned the support at one of Kyla’s horse shows (where she embarrassed herself by falling off... twice). Soon after, on June 4, 2023, we officially began dating. Since then, we’ve shared countless memories together, including our first trips to Michigan and Iowa for wrestling tournaments, and of course, all our school dances. After graduating in 2024, Kyla continued her education at The Ohio State University Lima Campus, while Corbin graduated in 2025 and began his career in the electrical field. This was a major milestone, switching from high school to the “real world”. On August 10, 2025, Corbin popped the question, and Kyla said yes! We were overjoyed to share our excitement with family and friends. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding day and begin our next chapter—marriage. With every step, big and small, we look forward to a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and adventures together.
