Stella's
Our favorite spot for Greek food! Stella's is always packed so we suggest making reservations. Insider tip: order several small plates to share rather than entrees. If you are looking for a quick lunch Stella's Market is across the street.
Can Can Brasserie
A great french bistro for Brunch or Friday dinner. Can Can is in the heart of Carytown. We suggest leaving some room to walk around before or after.
Grisette
Great spot for dinner in Richmond's Church Hill neighborhood. Be sure to try their sourdough!
En Su Boca
While En Su Boca looks like a dive on the outside, it is one of the best Mexican spots in town. It has a lively atmosphere and great food. They do not accept reservations and are always busy on the weekends, especially Saturdays as it is a popular spot to eat before/after visiting the Scotts Addition Breweries. We suggest going on the earlier side and ordering a Margarita while you wait for a table.
Carytown
Carytown is a quirky neighborhood with unique shops and casual restaurants. We love Coppola's deli, Mongrel's, Mamie's Apothecary (Kevin's been known to give lots of gifts from here), Walkabout Outfitters, and New York Deli.
Belle Isle
Belle Isle is a great easy nature walk along the James river with views of the city. You can also bring a picnic and lounge on the rocks if it is not too hot.
Maymont
Maymont is a 100-acre historic estate and park. Stroll through the gardens and arboretum, see native wildlife habitats, feed friendly goats, explore The Robins Nature Center and visit the Mansion.
Scott's Addition Breweries
Once a bustling industrial area, Scott’s Addition is now the City of Richmond’s fastest growing neighborhood. There are 13 breweries, cideries, meaderies, and distilleries in Scott’s Addition. Two of our favorites are Ardent, and the Veil.
