Jae: My junior year of college I took an accounting class and was always distracted by the cute boy in the front of the class. I asked around, and when Hannah Mae got invited to a party I knew he would be attending, I jumped at the opportunity. He must have thought I was cute too because at the party he came over to talk to me. Corbs: I'm standing with some of my friends at this party, and in walks this gorgeous redhead that I noticed every time she walked into class. I had spent the past several weeks certain that she was dating the guy who sat next to her in class; however, I hadn't been able to keep my eyes off of her and had to introduce myself. I knew from the first few minutes that I wanted to date this girl. Jae: We talked for over an hour, and as my friends and I are leaving, he asks me on a date for the very next day!! Not enough time to even worry about what I would say or wear. As we are walking back from our first date, he says that he loved it and wanted to go out together again tomorrow. That's when I knew he was a keeper. Corbs: First dates can get to be routine after a while. As you meet different people and go out to different places, the bundle of nerves and excitement can start to fade away. My first date with Jae was the first time that I felt those feelings both before and after the date. From the beginning, I knew that there could be something special here. Jae: Two short weeks later, Corbin started calling me his girlfriend(without asking) and it's been amazing ever since.
Corbin took me on a date to High Falls State Park for a hiking trip just like the first date we went on when we first started dating. What was supposed to be a relaxing day in an eno, turned into one of the best days of my life. He took me down as close to the water as we could get and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Corbin had amazing friends who were hiding in the woods and took photos so we could remember this day. Corbin then surprised me with dinner with both of our families. I couldn't help but cry when I saw that even my Grandma and Papa traveled four hours to celebrate with us! Can't wait to celebrate at the wedding!
