Once upon a time (September 2023), Camille came face to face with Corbin at their first ward prayer. While some amount of attraction was present, Corbin's ability to talk to women was mediocre at best, so no one was surprised when he proceeded to try to convince Camille to leave for the next 18 months on a mission. Thankfully, she decided to listen to her own personal revelation rather than the unsolicited advice of a person she'd just met five minutes prior. Throughout the semester, she was willing to help him and his roommates with all of their various musical needs. While they did try a date that fall (to an operetta of all things... clearly he was already smitten), another woman drew Corbin's attention and there was no second date. Fortunately, Corbin reevaluated his life choices and spent the next 2 months working up his nerve to ask Camille out again. He was single and nervously excited to mingle. Unfortunately, he was too late. His roommate informed him that she had indeed moved on, and now she was the one with a new man. Taking a risk, he reached out anyways, knowing that Camille would turn him down (which she did—cheating is bad!) Another month passed before Camille had ended her current relationship and decided she was ready to give Corbin another chance. The date went great and they quickly began seeing each other again. Due to the very slow nature of Corbin's decision making and the circuitous nature of their previous interactions, the school year was nearly over. He asked, very bluntly, if Camille would consider long-distance. She didn't give a straight answer right away, but it only took a few weeks for her to realize what a special relationship she had found. The next 4 months were spent juggling calls and time zones while she worked in Spokane and he interned in Charleston. Although they spanned the North American Continent, they grew closer than ever. Once they were finally reunited, it didn't take long for them to realize they wanted their relationship to last for eternity. Intending to surprise Camille, Corbin schemed with her best friend (shoutout Raegan!) to get her alone in a picturesque location. A loosely disguised day trip to Couer D'Alene ended at sunset, on a rock, with a much smaller rock in a box. This rock now happily resides on her left ring finger, and a wedding has been planned.
