FAQs

Question

Is there a ceremony and reception?

Answer

Just a party! We are getting married in a small, private ceremony earlier in the summer. The August 24th celebration will be a fun gathering with dinner, open bar, games and good company!

Question

Where is the party? What time?

Answer

Detroit Fleat, located at 1820 E 9 Mile Road, Ferndale, MI 48220. It will begin at 6:30pm! Parking Map: https://ibb.co/Syv51kr

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is requested - cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks.

Question

Is there parking for the party?

Answer

There is limited parking at Detroit Fleat on both sides of the building, as well as free street parking in the neighborhood behind the venue. We will send out a parking map to those we have emails for. Accessible spots will be reserved for folks with disabilities and we encourage anyone who plans to drink, to Uber or Lyft, as there are plenty in the area and parking can get tight!

Question

Will the party be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

There will be both indoor and outdoor space, though most seating is outdoors. It's typically pretty warm this time of year, but it's Michigan, so be ready for anything!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We have a limited block of rooms reserved at the Hyatt Royal Oak and the Courtyard Marriott Troy, and there are tons of other hotels and Airbnbs in Ferndale, Royal Oak and Detroit. Please see the travel page for more info.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Your presence is gift enough, but if you'd like to explore our registry, please visit the Registry tab on the top of the website.

Question

Will the venue be wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! We've made sure that the venue is wheelchair accessible, including restrooms.

Question

If I'm getting into town Friday or Saturday morning, where should I explore?

Answer

Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, shopping, and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.

Question

Let's talk about the food!!

Answer

We will have appetizers, dinner and dessert with vegetarian and gluten-free options included.
