Corbin and Erica first met in 2006 when they worked as lifeguards at the aquatic center in Plainfield, Indiana. They barely talked or acknowledged each other for about two years. Erica was a cheerleader and on the swim team, while Corbin was that edgy tattooed high schooler playing in bands and smoking cigarettes in his car. Essentially they were just two ships passing in the night with little in common. One day at the pool, Corbin was behind Erica in rotation, and every hour on the hour, they got to shoot the shit and get to know each other. They started to realized they had a lot more in common than most would have guessed. After that day, they started making more effort to talk at work, and the flame grew larger. Then one night, after an epic win at the kickball tournament, lifeguards vs. concession kids, they realized they were something more than "just friends." Corbin and Erica exchanged numbers (this was before unlimited texting) and started hanging out away from work. After hours of music, talks about past, present, future, fast food, and weed (duh). They officially began dating in May of 2008. Corbin and Erica moved in together about a year later. They were lucky enough to work together for many years, going from that pool life to that bar/restaurant life in the blink of an eye. Speeding up to 2015, they decided to take a big step and move out to Colorado together to pursue their love for the service industry and beer. Later that year, Corbin proposed to Erica while standing on the Royal Gorge Bridge at the Indiana marker in front of her family. They have been engaged for what seems like forever, but the stars have finally aligned, and this October will be the year that they finally get to celebrate with their friends and family!
