Our Story

Corban and Karli met in 2016 while attending Classical Academy High School. Throughout high school they were very good friends and shared many memories during those years.

Both graduated high school in 2019 and went their separate ways. Corban staying in San Marcos and attending Cal State San Marcos and Karli going to Santa Clarita to attend The Master’s University.

Despite going their separate ways they still continued to stay in touch. In fall of 2019 Corban and groomsmen Jayden Bennett attended one of Karli’s volleyball games.

In summer of 2020 the two grew closer and hung out almost every day. They went on many adventures together from the beach, to hiking/camping in Yosemite, plus so much more!

On September 29, 2020 Corban officially asked Karli to be his girlfriend in the parking lot of the Irvine Spectrum, where they would meet often because it was halfway between San Diego and Karli’s school.


On July 11, 2021 Karli and Corban both got baptized. This was a special time in their relationship as they both took a big step in their faith together.

In summer of 2021 Karli and Corban went on their first trip together to Pennsylvania to visit Corban’s family.

In November 2021 Corban and Karli went to Las Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with Karli’s family. It has been a tradition for the past 3 years!

Throughout the next couple of years while Karli was at school Corban attended many of her volleyball games and has been such an amazing supporter.

Whether Karli was up at school or not, one of their favorite things to do together is go to baseball games. Many were attended throughout these years in San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, plus more!

In summer of 2022 Karli and Corban enjoyed going on a vacation to Hawaii with Corban’s mom and little brother!

Jump forward to 2023 Karli graduated from The Master’s University receiving a degree in Kinesiology. This also means long distance is now over!!

Summer of 2023 was a great one and consisted of many fun adventures including the San Diego Fair, trip to the East Coast, and ultimately spending lots of time together.

September 29, 2023 marked our 3 year anniversary. By now Corban has the ring and is creating his master plan to ask Karli to marry him.

On October 15, 2023 Corban got down on one knee and asked Karli to marry her while they were taking casual couple pictures. After freaking out for what Corban says was a long 10 seconds Karli screamed YES!
