Will the wedding be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside on the lawn. The cocktail hour will be held outside and on the patio of the Eisenhower House, along with the option to hang out inside the Eisenhower House. The reception will be held under a tent on the lawn.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. Gentlemen to wear a suit and tie, while ladies can opt for knee-length, midi or maxi dresses. Please take into consideration that the wedding will be largely outside and by the water. The average temperature in Newport on this date is a high of 76 degrees F and a low of 58 degrees F.

Can I take pictures and/or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony and ask that all phones and devices be put away and on silent during the ceremony. We are so excited to have our wonderful photographer there to capture those moments and will be sure to share the photos when they are received! During the cocktail hour and reception, feel free to take as many photos as you like!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We kindly request that only children within our family attend our wedding. This will be noted on your invitations and when you RSVP online. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please drink responsibly and utilize ride sharing apps if you do not have a designated driver with you.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, however it is limited. We recommend carpooling or taking ride shares to the venue, if possible, especially if you plan to enjoy the open bar! There is a small parking lot right behind the house that guests are free to park in. There is also a larger lower lot that you are free to park in as well. If you drive and think you may need to leave your car there overnight, you must park in the lower lot. This parking lot is just after the Fort Adams entrance and at the bottom of the hill below Eisenhower House. Please contact us directly if you have more questions.
