Children's Pool La Jolla
The coastal trail connecting La Jolla Cove and Children's Pool is one of our favorites in San Diego. Here, the ocean breeze helps you relax. There are also some cute seals and sea lions sunbathing year round.
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
Torrey Pines is a beautiful state park. You can park at the foot of the hill and walk up and down to the beach. It's one of our favorite hiking trails in San Diego. You can also take a paragliding lesson at the Torrey Pine glider port if you wish.
Balboa Park
Balboa Park is a large urban park that used to host the world EXPO in 1915. It was also in the classic black and white movie Citizen Kane. It has lots of museums and gardens within. In the holiday season they host events and festivals in the park. We love taking walks and soaking in the sun in Balboa Park.
San Diego Zoo
Definitely one of the best and largest zoos in the world. Animals here live in luxury. Do you know that they have a cheetah program where the cheetah has a dog best friend?
Brewery Tours of San Diego
San Diego is a beer city. There are many micro-breweries with seasonal and adventurous flavors. Why not take a tour that samples all the San Diego beer staples?
USS Midway Museum
For those who are interested in aircraft carriers this would be a cool museum to see. Also check out the Seaport Village and and the outdoor fish market: Tuna harbor dockside market. It opens every Saturday from 8AM to 2 PM.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
Huge zoo with a safari park. You can spend the night at the safari and wake up with sound of hippos and zebras!
Wilson Creek Winery
You are in California and there's no reason why you shouldn't try some of the local wines. Temecula is probably the most famous wine area in SoCal. Go have a tasting and perhaps you'll find something you like to bring home.
LEGOLAND California
Go spend the day at Legoland in Carlsbad and rediscover your inner child. Also check out the aqua farm close by that have fresh oysters and other seafoods.
Disneyland Park
This is one of THE destinations in SoCal. Enough said
