Maid of Honor
Starting off with the Bridal party we have the Maid of Honor, Ellie Arnold! Ellie and Cora met in elementary school in their 3rd grade classroom. They went to the same school for elementary school and middle school but they remained close once they went to separate schools for high and beyond. The moment Cora got engaged she immediately knew who she wanted to be by her side as her MOH. The two of them share many cherished memories from shows, church trips, and over a decade of being friends. Cora is extremely lucky to have a friend that has loved her through many phases of her life.
Best Man
Amir is Will’s best man. Amir and Will have known each other since the 8th grade, but it is truly a friendship that feels like its lasted their lifetimes. Either guy can consistently make the other laugh until they cry. Whether it’s playing video games, taking trips, or just telling exaggerated stories at a dinner, both guys enjoy spending time together and have formed a strong brotherly bond. When it was time to pick a best man, there was no uncertainty or hesitation. It was Amir the whole time.
Bridesmaid
Emma Spatz is Cora’s oldest sister and bridesmaid. As long as Cora can remember she has wanted to be exactly like her big sister Emma. Growing up Emma was always there to tell Cora a bedtime story or braid her hair into whatever crazy hairdo Cora was requesting. Still to this day Emma is Cora’s biggest role model and they are even closer now than they were as girls. Cora knows if she needs advice Emma is always there to answer the call. Emma has worked tirelessly to stay connected to her Tulsa family while living in New York City and that effort alone is a testament to how deeply she cares, not only for Cora but her whole family as well. Cora immediately knew she wanted Emma by her side and Emma has already stepped in and helped with every step of the wedding process so far.
Groomsman
Drew is Will’s older brother. Whether it was playing indoor football with cheap plastic helmets or playing video games together. There has never been a question if these brothers liked each other or not. Once, Drew and Will were playing with two foam covered, plastic swords. Will was six or so and Drew knew for sure Will would get hurt, however Will eventually convinced Drew to fight, and the war was on… for about two minutes. Will got hit in the eye and started crying and immediately blamed Drew. Despite this Drew knew that he needed to continue to be nice to his brother and because of that, the two have had the strongest brotherly bond imaginable.
Bridesmaid
Claire Spatz is Cora’s older sister. Cora and Claire are the two middle children of the Spatz family. Their bond has come a long way from all the tiffs and fake demonic possessions they shared as children and it truly made their sibling bond stronger. Cora is so grateful to have a local big sister who is always down for a coffee/sonic/target date. Claire and Cora really bonded in their teenage years when Claire would drive around while the two of them would either sing loudly along to the music or they would talk about life for hours on end. Cora’s favorite memories with her sister Claire involve simply enjoying the world together and getting to play a part in each other's everyday life.
Groomsman
William Spatz is Cora’s favorite brother and only younger sibling! For him it was not easy growing up with 3 older sisters but William handled it with grace. Now that William is getting an honorary big brother the family has deemed him “brother Will” While Will Schatz has been deemed “Other brother Will”. William and Cora have a special bond from being the “little kids” in the family. Whether they were doing things like pouring soap and water on the trampoline or rappelling up the sides of the staircase Cora and William were always up to something growing up. These adventures as kids formed a foundation for them to still remain close into adulthood.
Bridesmaid
Emily is Will’s sister and oldest sibling. Will would not be who he is today without his big sister. Emily was like a second mom for Will growing up. If Will would ever get sad or scared growing up, there was a high possibility he would go running to Emily. Regardless of if times were good or bad, these two have never had their bond broken as siblings.
Groomsman
Logan is Will’s brother-in-law. He’s proven to be a great addition to the family, and he fits right in. Will and Logan enjoy talking to each other about sports and keeping each other informed. Logan married Will’s sister, Emily, and we are all thankful for the two little additions they brought to the family with their daughters.
Bridesmaid
Elyssa Gowriluk is one of Cora’s dear friends from Tulsa Tech. Elyssa and Cora were 2 of 3 girls in their program so they immediately knew they had to stick together. Thankfully their friendship was able to flourish and now Cora gets to cheer Elyssa on as she finishes off her Architecture degree at OSU. Elyssa is truly the smartest person Cora knows and they are also able to connect with their crazy medical stories. It was not easy to maintain new friendships during Covid but that is when Cora and Elyssa started talking daily and they've never stopped. Elyssa will be right by Cora’s side at the wedding with the same love and support she has given Cora all these years and Cora could not be more grateful.
Groomsman
Miles and Will met in UHype and worked many different school events alongside Amir. Their bond was formed from many off-campus trips and class projects during high school and strengthened through studying together, playing basketball, or shooting pool at TCC. Will calls Miles, “Mayos” in reference to a cafeteria lady at TCC mistakenly hearing Miles say his name was “Mayos” and then yelling “MAYOS” at the top of her lungs when his food was ready.
Bridesmaid
Julianna has been friends with Will and Cora practically since their relationship started. Will has always thought of Julianna like a second sister and is one of his most valued friends. Cora and Julianna became great friends later, but it seems like they always have been. Julianna is an extremely talented artist and she’s a good sport when Will and Cora start asking her questions about her artistic processes on a late weekend night.
Groomsman
Chance is Will’s most intelligent best friend. He forms the final link of the triangle that includes Will and Amir known as “The Board Members”. This is in reference to the text message group chat that started as an investment group chat, but has become a place for all three to make jokes at any time of the day or night. Chance is the smartest person Will knows, but that doesn't stop him from making a well-timed, comedic jab at Will.
