In June of 2021, Cora moved to Placerville, CA. She started hanging out in the same friend group as Dalton through going to church together. At first, Dalton wanted nothing to do with Cora. He didn’t like change or new people coming into his life. Cora kinda felt that Dalton didn’t like her but she didn’t give up and saw becoming his friend as her new challenge. She succeeded (shocker). They became almost inseperable best friends. Movie nights at the drive ins, eating out, hiking adventures, late night drives, pool parties, trips to Six Flags, you name it and we did it together with our friends. Then, as the other amigos become too busy, Dalton and Cora started to hangout one on one. Dalton says to this day that he always thought Cora was really beautiful but that he had no chance and thought she just wanted to be friends…she wanted to be more thou. Once they started hanging out one on one through late night drives and star gazing, they talked about deep things, laughed hard together, shared each others music, talked about the Lord and their true testimonies. Cora knew she was already in love with him. She didn’t know it at the time but Dalton was in love with her too. The next time they hung out together, Dalton had a bad day. Cora decided she was going to take him to the place she goes when she has a bad day. That was the first time and place they kissed and from there on they were always together. Seven months later, Dalton proposed in that same spot and well, the rest is history! Our love story was truly something out of a fairytale book, something Cora had always dreamed of. We are both so thankful that the Lord led us to each other when he did. We both always talk about how crazy it is that this happened. Thank you for reading our story <3
