Whitefish Dunes State Park holds a special place in our story because it is where Ben and Cora led kayak tours together. It is a beautiful spot to enjoy the beach, walk the trails, and take in the Lake Michigan shoreline. From the park, there is also a path that leads to Cave Point County Park, a free-to-park scenic stop known for its cliffs, water views, and a popular jumping spot when the lake is calm. Fun fact: these cliffs are part of the Niagara Escarpment, the same rock formation that creates Niagara Falls.
Peninsula State Park is a beautiful place to slow down and enjoy Door County. With scenic overlooks, wooded trails, beaches, biking, golf, and peaceful lake views, it is a perfect stop for guests who want to spend time outside. It is one of the most loved spots in Door County, so it can get busy, especially on summer weekends. Whether you climb Eagle Tower, walk along the water, or explore near Nicolet Beach, it is well worth the visit.
Red Putter Mini Golf is a classic Door County stop and one of the best mini golf spots in the area. It is fun, nostalgic, and perfect for guests looking for something casual to do between wedding weekend events. Great for families, groups, or anyone who wants a laid-back Door County activity.
Wilson’s is a classic Door County stop and such a fun place to visit while you are in the area. Located in Ephraim, it has an old-fashioned ice cream parlor feel, great casual food, and some of the best post-dinner ice cream. It is perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a sweet Door County tradition.
Northern Sky Theater holds a special place in Ben’s heart. Growing up, he went almost every summer with his family, and with their love and background in music, it became an extra meaningful tradition. The shows are always creative, beautifully done, and such a unique Door County experience.
Right across the street from our venue, Lautenbach Woods Nature Preserve is a peaceful place to walk, wander, and enjoy the natural beauty of Door County. It also holds a special connection to Ben, who spent time here during land restoration school in 2022. We love that this quiet preserve sits so close to the place where we will celebrate our wedding.
Woodwalk Gallery is the place we chose to celebrate our wedding, and it already means so much to us. Outside of our wedding events, guests can still visit during public gallery hours to explore the art, the barn, and the beautiful grounds. It is such a special Door County spot, and we cannot wait to share it with you.
Renard’s Cheese is a must-stop when visiting Door County. If you go, you have to try the fresh cheese curds — the best ones are the unrefrigerated, squeaky kind — and don’t skip the cheese whips. It is the perfect place to grab a classic Wisconsin treat for the weekend.
Ellison Bluff holds a sweet place in our story because it was one of the stops Ben brought Cora to on our first anniversary. With a short walk through the woods and a beautiful overlook above the water, it is a peaceful little stop for guests who want to enjoy a quieter side of Door County.
Sunset Park & Beach is one of the most meaningful places in our story because it is where Ben and Cora officially became a couple. With peaceful water views, a beach area, and beautiful Door County sunsets, it is a sweet spot to slow down and take in the lake. It will always be a special place to us, and we love that guests can experience it too.
Scaturo’s is a favorite in Ben’s family and a must-stop if you love a good Door County treat. Their cherry granola cookies are the family favorite and are absolutely worth trying while you are in town. It is a sweet little stop for coffee, breakfast, lunch, or something to take with you for the road.
