Our response to COVID-19

Answer

Due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to put several measures in place to ensure attendees' safety and comfort. There will be temperature checks at the start of the event. As of 03/22/2021, masks will be required for all guests during the ceremony. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the ceremony and reception. Most of the wedding events will take place outside or partially outside. We will socially distance cocktail and dinner tables during the reception. We ask anyone who is experiencing cold or flu symptoms, or is not feeling well for any reason, to STAY HOME. Most importantly, we strongly and unequivocally encourage everyone to get vaccinated if they are planning to attend our wedding. We hope that you understand our the difficult choices we have to make amidst current conditions, and we look forward to safely and respectfully celebrating our marriage with you!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off to let your hair down! Please let us know if you need help coordinating a babysitter in town or if we can help in any other way!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, not everyone can bring a plus one due to venue restrictions. If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Will there be vegetarian or vegan meal options available?

Answer

Yes, please indicate any dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we will provide you with an alternative meal.

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal or Cocktail attire. The ceremony will take place outside on a grassy lawn overlooking the beautiful Texas countryside. That being said, dress for warm weather and maybe leave the stilettos at home!

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP online through our wedding website. You can RSVP by visiting the RSVP page with all the RSVP details. It is very important to RSVP online before May 1, 2021 so we have an accurate headcount for food, drinks, and table settings.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony will start at 4 in the afternoon. We ask everyone to arrive at least 15 to 30 minutes before the ceremony is planned to start.

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask for phones to be put away during our ceremony. Don't worry, we will have two professional photographers capturing every special moment! Ceremony wedding photos will be available to view after the wedding! After the ceremony, you may take your own photos during the reception! We encourage you to capture your own special moments and use our wedding hashtag! #ShelbyandCalebtietheknot
