Alex and Emily met like many people of their generation - on a dating app. Alex and Emily had their first date at Terrazza in Smithfield, Rhode Island on October 13, 2019.

Alex and Emily spent the next few months getting to know each other and soon began planning a trip to England for March 2020. Spoiler alert - that trip got postponed. But don’t worry, they got to go eventually! With the world closed down for a while, Alex and Emily spent their time together golfing (sneaking onto the practice green at Louisquisset), supporting local businesses (ordering too much take-out), and enjoying cozy days in at Alex’s condo (watching a lot of tv). Eventually things began getting back to normal and Alex and Emily were able to take their relationship back out into the world.

Alex and Emily take every opportunity they can to travel to new (and old) places together. Highlights include Bar Harbor, Chicago, Delavan, Traverse City, San Diego, London, Lisbon, Montreal, and (of course) Brewster. Whether golfing, trying new restaurants, or exploring museums and local landmarks, Alex and Emily always enjoy seeing the world together. At home in Rhode Island, Alex and Emily take every opportunity they can to enjoy all that their small state has to offer. Especially the golf courses. They enjoy a lot of golf courses. One of them might enjoy the golf courses a bit too often. But they aren’t saying who. Alex and Emily are lucky enough to have most of their friends and family nearby and they enjoy being able to get together with them for both the big and small moments in life. And while some of their loved ones live a bit far away, it just gives them a good excuse to travel more. They haven’t made it to Vietnam yet. But they will. They swear. In January 2023, Alex and Emily decided to move in together. But when Emily moved in with Alex in March 2023, she didn’t come alone. Emily and her cat, Cleo, were a package deal and Alex was more than happy to welcome them both to their new home. The three of them have settled into a cozy routine together very easily. Cleo has decided that she likes having two humans (and not just because it means more hands to open the cat food). Alex and Emily have decided that they like living together so much that they want to make it permanent.

Alex and Emily will be getting married in a small ceremony on October 13, 2024, which is the five-year anniversary of their first date. Following their honeymoon in Costa Rica, Alex and Emily are inviting their families to come together to celebrate their marriage on November 30, 2024.
