No. We are planning to have food available throughout the evening, including apps and large plates. There will be limited seating available but plenty of standing table space. We would like to keep this more casual so its easier to mingle and maximize our quality time with everyone!
Please let us know ASAP and in detail. We will do our best to accommodate, and are planning to have a low-no gluten event with plenty of vegetarian/pescatarian options. Ingredients will be fresh and almost all local, and you can go ahead and expect delicious!

We absolutely understand that this event is out of town for many people and may create an unfeasible financial burden. There are no expectations for anyone to attend or to give a gift! You are invited because you have supported us through our life and our relationship, we can always celebrate with you another time :) If you plan on coming and need assistance cutting costs while in New Orleans, please let us know and we will send some recommendations!

Short answer, yes. Jake and I have lived here nearly 5 years and while the city can be a little crazy at times, we feel comfortable being in just about every part of town. French Quarter has the highest rate of petty crime in the city -largely related to the crowds of drunk tourists- but have your wits about you and don't walk alone at night (like any city you travel to) and you'll be just fine :)
