TPA is 7.5 miles (10 minutes) from downtown Tampa. (link provided) PIE is 17 miles (20 minutes). MCO is 85 miles (1 hr 15 minutes). This assumes no accidents and it is not rush hour. Arrive during rush hour and double the time!

Getting Around Downtown Tampa

It's probably going to be more efficient and cost efficient to not have a rental car and to Uber/Lyft/Taxi or walk anywhere you want to go. TIA to downtown is a quick trip IF it's not rush hour! Seriously, if it's rush hour, enjoy the ambience of TIA for awhile before departing. Download the DOWNTOWNER app to your phone - the Downtowner provides free transportation in an electric vehicle. Take the Pirate Water Taxi with 13+ stops. Taxis (in-town zones very inexpensive). Uber and Lyft (in-town zone even less expensive). ZipCars for a quick errand - handy if wanting to leave downtown for a bit. Rent a bike or scooter. Street Car (between Ybor City and Channelside area (Channelside = Aquarium & Sparkman's Wharf) Segways Read about all these options and more in the link provided below. Downtown Tampa is very walkable to/from anywhere. Be sure to "google" Tampa Riverwalk and visit multiple websites to get many perspectives of the walkway and things to see and do along the way.

TOLLS

Florida uses SUNPASS to collect tolls. You may want to click on the website below and look through the Traveler Information so you know what to expect. There are no tolls from TIA and PIE to downtown Tampa. The fastest route to the Postcard Inn will include a toll near the beach. They will find you and collect the $ based upon your car tag!
