We completely understand your concerns. More than anything, we absolutely want our guests to feel safe and comfortable, even if that means not attending our wedding. No need to explain--we get it. Times are scary and uncertain. All we ask is that you please let us know ASAP that you will not be coming by either updating your online RSVP or reaching out to us personally. We will miss your dearly, but we know we are loved and supported even from afar!
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, we will be having all of our wedding festivities outdoors. Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place outside, which will allow for seating to be spread apart 6 feet or more to align with social distancing regulations. Hand sanitizer stations will be placed throughout our venue and we will encourage guests to use them frequently, especially before interacting with others or touching common surfaces. We are also offering food and cake plates to be delivered to a guest's seat if they so wish. Although not required, we encourage our guests to wear masks if they feel more comfortable doing so. And of course, anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 will not be permitted to attend.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Casual. Casual dress means wedding guests can wear pretty much anything they want. We recommend a summer dress for the ladies and dress pants with a button-down shirt or polo shirt for the guys. Remember, our wedding festivities will be taking place outside on a grassy lawn in June, so comfortable and cool shoes and clothes are recommended.
Our wedding and reception will be outdoors. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing as most of your time will be spent outside on the grassy lawn. As our wedding day approaches, also be mindful of the weather forecast for that day. South Carolina is known to have unpredictable weather, and of course we anticipate that in June it will be hot!
Yes, we will have a cocktail hour after the ceremony followed by a buffet-style dinner. Beer and wine will be served throughout the reception. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you complete your online RSVP.
During the ceremony, we ask that guests do not take any pictures--we have hired a fantastic photographer to capture those beautiful moments for us! But during the reception, yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #CooperfectTogether so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
