What does "High Western" even mean?

Answer

At the Calgary Stampede, when attending an exclusive event or at a box on the grounds, the mandated dress code is "High Western". That means - country, but no shorts, ripped jeans, dirty boots, or scandalous attire. Think elevated honky tonk, or feel free to wear whatever makes you comfy and throw on a bolo tie or boots.

What about gifts?

Answer

Cash gifts are welcome if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon. But your presence on the day is what is most important to us, and we know many of you will be travelling to Calgary.
