Amanda and I met back in 2018 as part of the track team at the University of North Dakota. During that time, we remained distant but continued to have a lot of mutual friends. Each year in college we would run into one another at events, school programs, or classes and hit it off and then separate and go our own way. We both eventually graduated, and it seemed like a missed opportunity. Amanda returned to Duluth, and I was headed to Wisconsin for the next chapter of our life. One day while studying during PA school, I looked down at my phone and I see Amanda’s name. A smile came across my face as we continued to talk through the night. Amanda helped me study on endless nights while in PA school. She then moved to Michigan to complete her own PA school, and I was able to return the favor and help her study. We spent nearly 3 years hundreds of miles apart living through the phone and waiting for our next visit. Amanda finally graduated school in December, and we are now able to start our life together and we are so excited.
