Alamosa is located in Southern Colorado in the heart of the San Luis Valley. It's about 4 hours south of Denver. If you are traveling from out of town, we highly recommend driving down highway 285 to get there. It adds a small amount of time to the drive, but the views more than make up for it!
Due to the high elevation and location of The Valley, it tends to stay cooler than you would expect in mid July! While we cannot predict the weather, we would anticipate temperatures in the mid 70's throughout the ceremony and down to the low 50s once the sun goes down. The venue also has an outdoor space, so we recommend bringing a light jacket.
Please be aware that Alamosa's elevation is right around 7,500 feet, which is 2,200 feet higher than Denver! Alamosa also has a very dry climate, which can make for a big adjustment for those coming from low altitude states (and even for our friends coming from Denver). We highly recommend drinking a lot of water, using sunscreen, chapstick, and bringing some good shades! If you are planning on going to the Sand Dunes or doing any other outdoor activities while you are here, please also keep this in mind. We want everybody to feel their best while they are visiting!
Please RSVP by July 1st to help us get the most accurate headcount.
The best gift we can ask for is getting to see and celebrate with all of you! If you feel so inclined to also get us a gift, please click on the Registry Tab for our listed registries and honeymoon fund.
We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and slacks and a button down for men, jacket preferred, tie optional.
There is free parking available at the venue.
Please note: Public transportation of any kind is EXTREMELY LIMITED. Alamosa is in a rural area. While these options may be available, we do not recommend depending on these to get around.
