Cooma met Kathryn while at Pharmacy School in Richmond. Being a year ahead of Cooma, Kathryn supported her through coaching her on the ins and outs of their program, having already experienced what Cooma was going through. The two eventually decided to become roommates, which marked the beginning of a solid friendship. While living together, Cooma and Kathryn grew to appreciate each other's sense of style, humor, and care for others around them. When visiting Cooma from out of town, Jared also bonded with Kathryn through various adventures with the two of them. Kathryn has shown great care for Cooma and her relationship, whether through random cold calls, scheduled visits, or gift giving. For Cooma it was a no-brainer to choose Kathryn as her Maid of Honor.
Ama Baffoe-Bonnie

Ama has known both Cooma and Jared since their undergraduate years. She has watched them both blossom from fledgling youths to well-established young adults. As a roommate of Cooma's for two years in college, both Ama and her developed a strong relationship persisting to this very day. Even through medical school, she and Cooma maintained their connection. Ama is dependable, loyal, and very loving. Although the two both live in different timezones, they have remained thick as thieves. Ama is the definition of a sister. Both Cooma and Jared are proud to know Ama and greatly appreciate her being a part of their lives and journey.
Precious Dadzie

Precious has always made it a point to be intentional when it comes to speaking with, gifting, or spending time with Cooma. From their time spent together at Pharmacy School in Richmond, where they met, to trips within and outside of the US, Precious has gone above and beyond to give Cooma her flowers. Outside of this, Precious has been extremely supportive of Jared and Cooma's relationship, at times helping to plan surprises for each of the two parties. When the words thoughtful and considerate are mentioned, Precious is the person who comes to mind.
Christane Njatcha

Of all her bridesmaids Christane has known Cooma the longest, dating back to their years at high school in Maryland. Christane even helped Cooma pass her advanced French class in the 10th grade! Both Christane and Cooma have bonded over their love for travel, laughter, creating "fire" social media content, and appreciation for each other. Over the last 15 years, Christane and Cooma have developed an unwavering bond. Christane and Jared also share a connection, rooted in areas such as an immense appreciation for Afrobeats and, of course, a tremendous love for Cooma.
Kukua Osei-Gyamfi

One could say the relationship between Cooma and Kukua began to blossom following a trip to Atlanta, Georgia for Kukua’s birthday in 2018. From there the two have remained close. Their friendship story is special because Kukua and Cooma’s maternal grandfathers were close friends, which is what initially connected the two. Over the years their friendship has developed to the point where Cooma is now the Godmother of Kukua’s young daughter Lexi. Kukua has continuously shown support for Cooma with her endeavors as a careerwoman and in her personal life.
Vanessa Oguamanam

Vanessa holds a special place in history as being present the night Jared and Cooma met, after leaving a party hosted by their undergraduate university. In fact, Vanessa knew Jared before Cooma even knew of his existence. Since then, she has been invested in their relationship. Outside of this, Vanessa has remained a close friend and confidante for Cooma. Through years of long distance friendship, their bond has remained unbroken. Vanessa is truly one of a kind and is greatly valued in both Jared and Cooma's lives.
J'Kaya Scott

Though Jared never asked for an older brother, he wound up with one in J'Kaya. With an age gap of about 12 years, the two have been inseparable for over a decade. Speaking with his first cousin almost daily, Jared has learned a great deal from J'Kaya, including how to conduct oneself as a man, maintain a healthy relationship with a significant other, and be patient when striving for personal goals. Connecting in sports, pop culture, music, and so on, both Jared and J'Kaya talk about every and anything. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that when Jared first met Cooma he turned to his older brother for approval. Today J'Kaya considers Cooma a part of his family and is a strong supporter of she and Jared's relationship. There is no one else Jared would rather have standing next to him as his Best Man.
Jailen Scott

Jared remembers babysitting and traveling with Jailen during his teenage years. The pair have had several fun and head-scratching adventures together, including when Jared hydroplaned down a hill, running his mother's car into a stop sign as Jailen sat in his car seat in the back. As the two grew older, they formed a bond that has remained strong to this day. As Jailen's older cousin, Jared has tried to lead by example and show him the importance of being a responsible, well-meaning man. Jared is very proud of Jailen's growth and sees it only fitting that his younger cousin stand by his side as he takes part in this new life venture with Cooma.
Yannick Dick

For as long as both Jared and Cooma can remember, Yannick has been a free-spirited, caring cousin and friend. All three bonded largely in Richmond, Virginia, during Cooma's years spent in Pharmacy School. While there, Yannick shared with Jared and Cooma his appreciation for various art, delicacies, and the finer things in life. He has never hesitated to check in on the couple and provide support whenever necessary.
Lawrence Owusu

Lawrence has been a big brother figure to Cooma since she was a young girl, providing necessary guidance and showing up whenever she was in need. He later met Jared and the two connected in areas such as sports and hip-hop music. Lawrence continues being supportive of Cooma in her life's journey and gladly welcomes Jared as part of the family.
Omobogie Amadasu

Cooma first met Omobogie, known as "Boogie," during the summer of 2017 in Yuma, Arizona while working on a Native American reservation. The two became well acquainted prior to the summer's end. In the next year, it just so happened that Omobogie moved to Maryland, allowing him to develop a closer relationship with Cooma and later Jared. Since then, Omobogie has proved to be a dependable friend, helping the couple move between apartments, giving career advice, and even assisting Jared in proposing to Cooma! The two are fortunate to have known such a genuine and supportive individual, whose friendship is priceless.
Marcus Hooks

Marcus has been an important part of Jared's life since childhood. The two have many experiences together, including family vacations, game nights, and holiday parties. Throughout the years, Marcus has been immensely supportive of Jared's mother and sister, especially when Jared left his home in Connecticut for college and later work. Jared feels it is only right that Marcus' loyalty and commitment to his loved ones be recognized on what is thus far the biggest moment of his life.
