We have spent much of our time together outdoors, and especially in national parks across the United States. As such, we have chosen to be married in Shenandoah National Park which is special to us and close to our home. Unfortunately, due to national park restrictions, we have to limit to number of guests in attendance at the ceremony. We will be married in the morning, and cannot wait to join you after to celebrate!
We are having our celebration at our home. We live on a farm, and there will be animals, including large dogs, who will be outside during the event. We will make every effort to keep you comfortable with them around, but please remind your children about proper stranger dog handling. In addition, we ask that guests do not open any gates or fences that are not already open. Inside our house will be 2 bathrooms available to guests.
Our celebration will be outside, and garden party attire is appropriate. Though we are anticipating warm weather throughout the day, there is a chance of rain or colder temperatures. Please plan accordingly!
We are having barbecue from a local place catered for the wedding. If you have any nutritional requirements or have any other dietary restrictions, please send us a message ahead of time so we can accommodate!
We are opening one of our farm fields to those who wish to camp on the property! We would love to have you stay, and if you choose to do so, please let us know ahead of time and bring your camping gear. Our home is between Front Royal, VA and Winchester, VA. There are multiple lodging options in either city. We have placed a hotel block at the DoubleTree Front Royal Blue Ridge at 111 Hospitality Drive, Front Royal, VA. The hotel is a 15-minute drive to our home. The link for our hotel block is https://group.doubletree.com/wxkmeg Our wedding is a 1.5 hour drive from Washington, DC. For those flying in, Reagan or Dulles airports are the closest. Unfortunately, there is no public transit from DC to Front Royal.
We ask that guests attempt to carpool as much as possible. There is space to park, but for everyone's sake, the fewer cars the better. We have transport vans in the works to make this as simple as possible for our guests, please stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the date. Thank you!
