We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Our story began in the middle of the desert. Yes, really. We were both attending the annual Shelby Mustang TPS charity event, in the tiny west Texas desert town of Terlingua. While sipping on margaritas at the first evening Meet and Greet, talk turned to birthdays and zodiac signs. Jim gave his DOB as November 22, which is also my birthday AND said that he was born on Thanksgiving Day, also just like me! Being a “trust but verify” kind of person I carded him, ya know, for proof. Turns out we really were two of kind and that was the spark that ignited our friendship. For the next several years we’d see each at the event and kept up a casual friendship. It took several years and a couple of significant others before we saw what had been sitting and growing quietly in our hearts. In late 2018 we finally realized that we were each other’s perfect match. We started our dating relationship 1,133 miles apart, and the long-distance from San Antonio, Texas to Greenville, South Carolina was a true test for us. We had hurdles not all new couples face. It took patience, strength and a LOT of FaceTime calls. Thank goodness for technology! Still, it got old really fast! We started making plans for the future and a move to Greenville for me. Moving an entire life is hard, the things we do for love!! Then... BAM! Pandemic! Covid delayed us, but love prevailed, and in September of 2020 we were living in the same city. Life together has been our great adventure and we are so thankful we made it out of the Friend Zone. Our love story didn’t start with an initial spark but rather a slow burn; the kind that gives warmth, comfort and bliss; the kind that endures, waxing and waning but never burning itself out. We are so excited to invite you to help us celebrate our love at our wedding ceremony and reception in December!
