It all started January of 2018 at Northstar Church in Kennesaw. I (Ben) was working there with youth and Grace started interning in middle school. I saw her during her first week at lunch eating alone so I sat with her to see what makes the new intern tick. We ended up hanging out often from there. I was drawn to her silliness. She made me laugh. The first six months were realy all about friendship. It was effortless with Grace, she was my best friend. One day when we were just enjoying some time on the green on campus I wanted to poke fun at her and told her she would fall in love with me if she wasn’t careful. Well, i was right ;)

“After years of asking and asking, I finally said ‘yes’." We were supposed to be having a small dinner with friends for Ben's birthday, but Ben had other plans. Shortly after I got home from work, my friend, Hannah, gave me a note from Ben that said, "Tonight isn't going to be my birthday dinner. Put on your dress, I have something else planned." I immediately started crying, and Tiffany helped me finish getting ready and drove me to my next step - Ben's house. When we arrived, I walked up a beautifully lit path and saw Ben standing in front of me. Ben, his family and our close friends turned his backyard into the most perfect, twinkly lit, romantic proposal spot that I have ever seen. After saying the sweetest things that I'll keep close to my heart, Ben asked me to marry him and, without a doubt in my mind, I said, "Yes!" After our special moment, he had our closest friends and family inside his house to surprise me and celebrate us. It was the perfect night to start our future together.
