*UPDATE Hello!! WE ARE SAD to say our wedding on 10/3/2020 is officially going to be rescheduled. David is a pilot in the Navy and unfortunately the Navy will not grant him leave during this COVID time. WE DO plan to have an intimate family wedding on Oct. 3 in Jacksonville, FL and hope to reschedule the reception in 2021 so we can properly celebrate with all of y'all! Please continue checking this site and mail for updates! THANK YOU! We met at Texas A&M in the spring of our junior year (WHOOP!). We were both enrolled in women's health ( YES that is a real class and YES Dave was one out of four guys in the class.) I was always late to that class and ended up grabbing the seat closest to the door. That seat just so happened to be the seat right next to Dave! I remember one of our first interactions involved me asking him to take notes for me because I was going to be absent from class. I will never forget his text the following day, which stated, " I may or may not have fallen asleep so my handwriting significantly decreased haha." He was right, his handwriting was pretty much illegible. From that point forward, I classified him in my head as the jock corp boy who didn't care about school. However, as the semester continued our friendship grew and my impression of him completely changed. Towards the end of the semester we started attending breakaway together (a christian ministry on A&M's campus) and I will never forget something he said to me. "I don't want to grow up just to live a comfortable life in my cookie cutter home with my cookie cutter job.. I want to do BIG things for the kingdom of God." I truly think this was the moment I fell for him REAL hard. His character outshined all my preconceived ideas about him. I saw a fire for God and His mission that I had never seen in a man before. A couple weeks later we started dating and its been 3 1/2 years since then!! I am so grateful for this passionate, kind, and considerate man! I can't wait to marry him!!!!
