Once upon at time (as all great stories start)...Cassie had just began working at a psychiatric hospital, spoiler alert Jonathan was working there too. She was sitting in morning report when Jonathan slides in late. Cassie had literally just sworn off dating until she completed her senior year of college when she locked eyes on Jonathan. There was something inside of her saying "this is the man you are going to marry." She spent about a month trying to convince herself she had no interest in him; however, Cassie found herself checking the schedule daily to see what unit Jonathan was working on and inventing clever reasons why she might have to go over to wherever he was. Finally, Cassie received (what felt like the long awaited) invite from another coworker to join the after work dive bar hang. She hoped this was going to be her chance- somehow over a cheap beer Jonathan was going to realize she was the love of his life and they would be married in Disneyland on the Jungle Cruise. Well that night wasn't exactly that but it did lead to Jonathan getting her number via Facebook messaging. Then, after a few weeks of trying to figure out if she was in the friend zone and was this ever going to happen...Jonathan kissed her in that dive bar parking lot. The next 7 years brought an abundance of love and growth. They grew as individuals and a couple- learning and loving. In the same spot Jonathan told Cassie he loved her (in Disneyland), he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. It's no surprise to anyone that she said "YES!". Their journey down the aisle was halted by COVID and then the loss of Cassie's father. Through their grief they have clung tighter to one another and found refuge from life's struggles in their devotion to each other. After now 9 years in the making Cassie and Jonathan are so elated to share their next chapter with you!
