Yes! We hope you'll join our welcome party at Newport Polo on Saturday, July 3. See the Schedule of Events page for more details.
Although we love your little ones, this is an adults only affair. Feel free to bring the kids to our welcome party on Saturday.
There is not since we wanted to give our guests the flexibility in choosing their own lodging. Uber and Lyft provide local transportation in the Newport area. If you do choose to drive, there is free parking at the reception venue and a shuttle that will take you to and from the ceremony (please have a designated driver).
Parking in downtown Newport is bad on a good day...on 4th of July it's next to impossible. We recommend taking Lyft/Uber, walking if you're close enough, or even taking a pedicab. If you would prefer to drive, there is ample free parking available at the reception venue (Belle Mer) and we will be providing a shuttle to the ceremony (Trinity Church) at 4:30pm. All guests are welcome to take the shuttles from the ceremony to the reception.
Check the email you provided to RSVP. The email should come from agnes@nptpolo.com and will have the subject line "Newport Polo - Tickets". Please search your inbox/junk mail folder for this and email amandakcook@ymail.com if you do not receive your tickets by Tuesday morning. You will need your tickets to gain entry to the event so please have them ready upon arrival. You can either print them or display the QR code on your phone. Please note that each individual ticket will arrive in its own email so if you have multiple people in your party, please ensure that you have received all of the tickets.
Wedding: cocktail/evening attire (suit or cocktail dress). Welcome party: casual (shorts and collared shirt or sundress). These are just guidelines, we want you to feel comfortable while you celebrate.
Please see our Flights + Lodging page for details on recommended rentals and hotels.
Please RSVP by June 1, 2021. If your plans should change, please let us know ASAP.
We have reviewed RI state guidelines and are currently on track for all of our invited guests to be able to attend. Of course we'll continue to monitor the situation and communicate if we need to reduce guest count, postpone, or cancel the wedding. We understand if you would prefer to wait until we know more before making travel plans, and we also totally get it if you would feel more comfortable not attending. We hope we can safely celebrate with all of you in July!
No, Rhode Island removed the testing requirement for wedding guests as of May 7, 2021.
