Taylor and Amanda met while working their first job out of college at UPS in San Antonio, Texas. While both remained acquaintances during their time in Texas, they both bonded over their families being from New Jersey. Following San Antonio, Amanda and Taylor received promotions and moved to different cities, Amanda to Seattle and Taylor to Chicago. Both carried on with their lives. After some time, they ended up connecting again via social media. (Amanda messaged Taylor ;) ) After much back and forth, Taylor convinced Amanda to come to Chicago and let him take her out. They spent their first date at the Field Museum and a Street Fair in Chicago. Following this, they began their long-distance relationship between Chicago and Seattle. Between facetime and phone calls, they bonded over their love of travel. They put their long-distance relationship to good use and traveled to different places such as: Indiana Dunes, Wisconsin, Vancouver, B.C., San Juan Islands, Olympic National Park, Georgia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Texas. After a year and a half of long-distance, they decided to make a life decision and close the distance. Taylor made the 30+ hour drive from Chicago to Seattle, and they moved in together. 9 months later, Taylor asked Amanda to marry him, and she said yes!
