By an odd chance of fate, Lauren was to do the choreography for GTG’s summer production of “Spamalot”. Lauren showed up for auditions with no real expectations of the summer where she met Alex who was auditioning for the show. They became close friends, always grabbing drinks with the rest of the group after rehearsals until an old fashion game of truth or dare led to the two of them pulling an all- nighter -- watching movies and eating waffles. The next few weeks would lead to an attempted friendzone, a persistent man and a girl who couldn't help but fall in love. The rest is history…

Los Angeles, California. Alex and Lauren, while on vacation in California had decided to spend a day in Hollywood visiting the Griffith Observatory and then hike to the Hollywood Sign from there. Not realizing the hike from Griffith Park was definitely the "long way" up- they got about a fraction of the way up and Lauren realized seeing the sign was not in the cards for them that day in the blazing mid day heat. Instead, Alex suggested going off to a small, secluded area to take some photos of the city. He had her face the city as he took photos from different angles- getting all the "instagram-worthy" shots Lauren had been asking for the whole trip. Alex told Lauren to turn and face him for a photo, it was then she realized he was on his knee with the camera in one hand and a small black velvet box in the other. It was the best proposal Lauren could've ever asked for....
