This one is reserved for the adventurers! The Palisades trail is the primary route through the Palisades. No road access either end of the trail. One must hike either Table Rock trail to reach the western terminus of the Palisades trail, or climb Oat Hill Mine Road to reach the eastern terminus. The best possible option is to start at the Table Rock trailhead and make the 11 mile descent to Calistoga, combining all three trails. This can be achieved either by being dropped off at Table Rock and picked up in Calistoga, or by parking at the Oat Hill Mine Road Trailhead and taking a shuttle up to Table Rock. Are you sure you wouldn't rather just relax with a glass of wine?
