Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places with you!
Ventura Pier

Ventura Pier

Ventura Pier, Ventura, CA 93001

A staple of Ventura. Take a walk on the Ventura Promenade, located off California St. and the 101. Have a beer at Madewest or a couple of fish tacos at Beach House Tacos. Trust us, it's worth it!

Downtown Ventura

Downtown Ventura

Ventura, CA 93001

Our home. Make your way downtown (Vanessa Carlton style) and you'll find fantastic restaurants, bars, shops, boutiques, art galleries and of course plenty of antique shops!

Dargans Irish Pub & Restaurant

Dargans Irish Pub & Restaurant

593 East Main Street, Ventura, CA 93001
, (805) 648-3001

The Conway Family pub! We call this spot our "home base". Since it's opening, Chelsea and her sister Michelle have been performing here, showing off their crazy Irish dance skills. Give them enough Jameson and they just might show you! Also make sure to look out for the Conway family crest on the wall!

One of the 21 historic California Missions, located at the end of Main Street in Downtown Ventura. Beautiful architecure

Tavern

Tavern

211 East Santa Clara Street, Ventura, CA 93001
, (805) 643-3264

Established in 2012, THE Tavern Bar & Restaurant is best known for its handcrafted cocktails, Americana upscale bar menu, live music and its amazing Happy Hour — 5-8pm every day! And did we mention Rosa, the resident ghost? The bar and restaurant is tucked into the historic Landmark 78, built in 1912, by a man named Carlo Hahn, who was a successful businessman and philanthropist in the Ventura community. The home remained a personal residence for the Hahn family until 1971, when it was converted into a restaurant. Legend has it that a girl named Rosa, who was the daughter of one of the many Italian families who immigrated to the Ventura area during the late 1800’s, died in or around this house. Don’t let this old ghost story scare you… Come check her out for yourself!!

The Cross Hike

The Cross Hike

Father Serra Cross, Ventura, CA 93001
, (805) 648-3008

Overlooking the city of Ventura stands an old rugged cross with a history that dates back to the founding of the city itself. Located just above City Hall in downtown Ventura, the cross has become a frequently visited attraction for locals and travelers alike. Take a hike up the hill (or drive) up to this Ventura landmark to watch a beautiful ocean sunset or just sit and enjoy the 360 degree view.

Ventura Harbor Village

Ventura Harbor Village

1583 Spinnaker Drive, Ventura, CA 93001
, (805) 477-0470

Ventura Harbor Village is the heart of coastal Ventura County. Here you can book a cruise for a half- or full-day trip to the Channel Islands, take sailing lessons or a narrated harbor cruise, rent a peddle boat or kayak, or simply enjoy a few hours by the sea. The 36-horse carousel and arcade games are sure to delight the kids, and the whole family will enjoy the art galleries, specialty shops, café bakery, ice cream parlor and restaurants serving the freshest locally caught seafood. Special weekend events at Harbor Village include weekend concerts and other scheduled events.

Discovery Ventura

Discovery Ventura

1888 East Thompson Boulevard, Ventura, CA 93001
, (805) 856-2695

Sprawling, modern spot combining 9 bowling lanes plus a dining area & hopping live music venue. Since 1957, this site has operated as a bowling alley. Originally built in 1942 as an A&P Grocery, the building was converted in 1957 when 10 lanes were brought over from next door (now Fuller Paint). The building was built during WWII, thus no steel was used for the construction. Instead, the Lamella roofing style, which is a mathematical equation in and of itself, spans over 100 ft. at over 28 ft. high without any column support. It’s pretty radical, and we can’t wait for you to see it restored!
