Carter and Megan first met during their freshman year of high school in Spanish class. Over the next couple of years, they shared mutual friends and several classes, but it wasn’t until junior year—while sitting side by side in AP U.S. History—that their connection truly began to grow. After unofficially going to the winter dance together, Carter asked Megan on a proper date: bowling and Culver’s. That night led to the start of their relationship in February 2018. From cheering each other on at sporting events to dancing the night away at prom, high school was filled with lots of memories. After graduation, they chose colleges that best fit their goals—Carter at Wisconsin Lutheran College and Megan at UW-Oshkosh. Though the distance between Milwaukee and Oshkosh was just an hour and a half, they spent four years navigating college life with the help of countless FaceTime calls and weekend visits. They grew up, grew together, and after college, both chose to settle in the Milwaukee area. Then, in February of 2024—seven years after that first date—Carter got down on one knee and asked Megan to spend forever together.
