Festive Summer Cocktail! Think colorful, fun, and stylish — not overly formal. Our ceremony is outside, so sunglasses and a light layer are smart. The reception at Brass Bear Brewery in the Funk Zone has umbrellas and heaters, but we still recommend dressing for a warm afternoon that may cool off in the evening.
Yes! Please plan accordingly with sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light layer. We’ll have parasols and fans available to keep you comfortable.
We’ll be taking photos, and you’ll have a little “Funk Zone Free Time!” The reception is a 7-minute drive from the ceremony spot, and the Funk Zone has tons of bars, tasting rooms, and shops if you’d like to explore.
No formal transportation will be provided, but the distance is a quick drive or ride-share. Everything is very close and easy to navigate.
Yes — a little! Our wedding falls on the weekend of the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Parade, which brings festive energy, but also extra people and street closures. Please plan to leave a bit early for both the ceremony and reception to allow for parking and traffic.
For the ceremony: There is plenty of parking at the ceremony location, and onsite staff will be there to guide and assist. You should have no trouble finding a spot. For the reception: The Funk Zone is fun…but parking isn’t. We highly recommend parking at your hotel or accommodations and walking or using a ride share to Brass Bear Brewery. It’s much easier, and you’ll avoid the Solstice Parade traffic and limited street parking.
Sure! But only if you promise to get our good angles. We will have a photographer, so don't feel like you need to capture every moment. First and foremost, we want you to be present with us!
Yes! Expect great food (buffet), local beer, wine, cocktails, and plenty of non-alcoholic options at Brass Bear. Come hungry.
We’re skipping the traditional registry! If you’d like to give a gift, we’d be thrilled for a contribution to our Newlywed Fund to help us celebrate with a dream honeymoon.
Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes before the ceremony to allow time for parking and walking to the overlook. Early is better — especially with Solstice Parade traffic.
