February 23, 2021 Frustrated with our online dating prospects, Will and I were about to delete our respective profiles and take a break from dating. However a glitch with the dating app interrupted our plans. I received a message from Will, though I could have sworn that I’d disabled the app’s messaging feature. Will says the app had matched us based on being in proximity to one another, though we actually lived an hour apart. From his profile, I saw that Will was a reformed Christian and quite handsome, and his introductory message was refreshingly transparent. He told me his FULL, government name, his pastor’s name, the name and location of his church, his phone number, and he had extended to me an invitation to give him a call when I was ready - everything I needed to feel at ease (and run a full background check, if I wanted)! After chatting via the app for about a week, we were finally ready for our first phone call. We talked about everything and learned that we had a lot in common. We also realized that we’d had several missed connections over the years. We had attended the same events and were acquainted with some of the same ministries, but somehow we'd never met! By God’s providence, however, we didn’t miss our connection this time around. Thanks to a dating app’s glitch, we’re now getting hitched!
