Our story started long before we ever called it a “love story.” We met back in high school, where we both had quiet crushes on each other starting sophomore year. Alyssa would show up to Kenneth’s baseball games wearing his fan shirt, thinking he was the coolest guy on the field and that hopefully someday their paths would lead to something more. Meanwhile, Kenneth went to a church group called C2, hoping every single time that Alyssa would walk through the door. We were friends for years, orbiting each other with that shy, hopeful feeling that maybe, just maybe, there could be something more. That “maybe” turned into something real during our senior year when we finally started dating. Even with COVID making everything complicated, we made the most of every moment from prom to all the senior year milestones we were lucky enough to experience together. After graduation, life took us in different directions, and we spent the next four years in long distance while Kenneth played college baseball. It wasn’t always easy, but our love made every mile, every FaceTime call, and every reunion worth it. Five years later, Kenneth proposed in the sweetest full-circle moment, right in the same spot where we took our senior prom photos. Now, we’re getting married…and our reception will be held in that very same area, the place where our memories began and where this next chapter begins. We can’t wait to celebrate our story with all of you who have been a part of it.
