Emily-Paige (she/her) is Emm’s best friend, her first “wife,” and the only person whose blessing Sam asked for before proposing. She met Emm at SOU in 2014 where they were History and Education majors, respectively. Emily-Paige soon dragged Emm by the short and curlies to the SCA fighter practice that met on campus and then to her first SCA event. (Therefore Emily-Paige is the reason Emm and Sam got together and Jay can FIGHT HER ABOUT IT.) The Emilys have shared a dorm, a house, several tents, many road trips, late night study sessions, sewing marathons, and uncountable hours of laughing at their own terrible jokes. Through all of this, the two have built an unshakeable friendship. Emily-Paige could not imagine a better husband for Emm than Sam and is so honored and excited to help the two of them embark on this new stage of their lives.

I met Emm through our local SCA branch nearly 7 years ago. Anyone who has witnessed us knows we have a very special and... Unique friendship. My favorite memories with Emm always include laugh/crying on the floor together, dodging hastily thrown blocks of cheese, or avoiding eye contact over a game of dominoes lest we burst into fresh, wheezing tears. I am so happy and honored to be a bridesmaid in this long awaited wedding between my friends.

Abby is Emily's favorite and only sister, a game and puzzle lover, fellow cat mom, and recent graduate from her MD program in Florida! Emily and Abby grew up going camping, selling Girl Scout Cookies, and doing lots of crafts together. Abby is now enjoying the newly married life with her husband Alex in San Diego while she completes her residency in internal medicine.

Daniel is the sword dad of all sword dads, and arguable one of the most responsible people in Sam and Emm's life. Daniel took Sam as his student in rapier, a style of fencing, in 2022, expanding his already awesome sword family and their friendship too.
