FAQs

Question

Where the heck is Tubac and why are you getting married there?

Answer

Tubac is a small, picturesque Village in Southern Arizona, located 20 minutes north of Nogales, Jessica's hometown. The town is rich in history and art and a symbol of nostalgia from Jessica's childhood. While Conor didn't grow up visiting Tubac, he's a real fan of metal iguana sculptures.

Question

How do I get to Tubac?

Answer

For those traveling from Phoenix, you'll take the I-10 East to Tucson and then merge onto the I-19 South. For those traveling from Tucson, you'll take Valencia Road to the I-19 South. Fun Fact: I-19 is the country's only continuous highway that lists distances in kilometers, rather than in miles. The highway starts in Tucson and ends roughly 300 feet from the Mexican border.

Question

What should I wear to this affair?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. We anticipate a warm afternoon and cool evening so please plan accordingly. We also recommend grass-friendly shoes! (a.k.a. avoid stilettos)

Question

Can children attend?

Answer

We love children so much we might just have our own one day! However, we kindly request a child-free ceremony and reception.

Question

I want to look like a queen on this day. Where can I get glammed up?

Answer

There are several wonderful salons in the Tubac area that offer hair, makeup and nails services! We recommend you book an appointment at one of the following: MIJ Hair & Nails 20 Avenida Goya, Tubac, AZ 520-398-3206 Salon de Hidalgo 26 Tubac Road, Suite A2, Tubac, AZ 520-313-3620 Hair Innovations 1227 N Grand Avenue, Nogales, AZ 310-993-9756
